Falafel Fries

Wednesday, August 26, 2009

Street carts ahoy.
Only some carts will have french fries, that’s what you need.  Slice open a pita and fill it with falafel and french fries.  Layer in plenty of tahini and hot sauce.  If they’ve got lettuce put some in as well.  Eat piping hot.

My mom has been making it for every barbecue as far back […]

The sushiest of sushi places.
Put in an order for three pieces hamachi (yellowtail) sashimi, two pieces kurodai (black snapper) sashimi, two pieces saba (mackerel) sashimi.  Accompany this with one roll filled with salmon skill, scallion, and spicy mayo.  If you’re really hungry add in an order of pork gyoza.

Inclement Chili

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Soup place.
Tell ’em you need a bowl of chili.  Top it with sliced green onions (or scallions), shredded cheddar, bacon bits, and hot sauce.  If they don’t have sliced scallions or shredded cheddar, then you show them what bad weather looks like!
